Visitation for Richard J. Loiselle, 87, of Bourbonnais, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais.
Burial will be in Maternity BVM Cemetery, Bourbonnais. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maternity BVM School or to Bishop McNamara Catholic High School. He died Monday (March 4, 2013) at the Miller Center in Kankakee.
Mr. Loiselle was employed by the family business, Triangle Construction, and managed the Maternity BVM Credit Union. He was born May 9, 1925, in Kankakee, the son of Percy F. and Margaret Ader Loiselle. He was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and a charter member of the Jaycees. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He loved photography, traveling and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, the former Adelia Ruder, of Bourbonnais, whom he married Feb. 26, 1948, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kerry and Paula Loiselle, of Normal, and Kevin and Cecelia Loiselle, of Carmel, Ind.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Gary Schultz, of Farmington, Amy Loiselle and spouse, Tim Wallace, of Zim, Minn., and Carol and Richard Sweeden, of Streator; 10 grandchildren, Alexis (Chris) Maubach, Sara (Matt) Haas, Andrea (Scott) Winter, Grant Loiselle, Lauren Loiselle, Sr. Therese Marie Loiselle, Scott (Lisa) Loiselle, Bryan (Marguerite) Loiselle, Kevin Loiselle and Elaine Loiselle; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Doreen Collins, of Bourbonnais; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Diane Marie; one grandson, Garrett; and one granddaughter, Melissa Loiselle.
