Bibiane V. Benoit - Bradley


Bibiane V. Benoit, 88, of Bradley, passed away Wednesday (July 10, 2013) at Miller Center, surrounded by her children. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Maternity BVM Catholic Church. Father Jason Nesbitt will officiate.

Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

She was born March 27, 1925, the daughter of Victor and Anita Rivard Boucher. She worked at Domestic Laundry in Kankakee before marrying and raising seven children. Her husband, Adrien Benoit, whom she married May 3, 1947, at Maternity BVM Catholic Church in Bourbonnais, passed away in 1994. She was also a bookkeeper for 43 years for her husband's and her business, Benoit Welding Services. She enjoyed her family; playing cards, Scrabble and Boggle; her cat; reading and sunset rides.

She is survived by her children, Anita "Susan" Greenstreet and Kenneth V. Benoit, both of Bradley, Patricia (Lee) Godin, Thomas (Nancy) Benoit and William (Kim) Benoit, all of Bourbonnais, Kathleen (David) Nelson and Nancy (Mike) Johnston, both of Momence; one sister, Genevieve Benoit, of Bradley; one brother-in-law, Charles "Eddie" Benoit, of Manteno; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Legris, of Kankakee; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and Bernard Boucher; and one son-in-law, David Greenstreet.
