Anita Ellen Sellek (Cabbage-Coffey), 53, of Thawville, returned to Jesus on Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2012) at her home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until the 3 p.m. funeral services at the Lamb-Young Funeral Home, 108 N. Walnut St. in Roberts. Pastor Bill Thompson will officiate.
Burial will be in Ridgeland Township Cemetery in Thawville. Memorial tributes may be made to the Anita Sellek Memorial Fund.
She was born July 23, 1958, in Pontiac, the daughter of Bevard and Anna Mae (Brown) Cabbage.
Surviving are her husband, Randy Sellek, whom she married Nov. 23, 1992, in Kentland, Ind.; her children, Jason Coffey, of Monticello, Kristen (Coffey) Masterson, of Rankin, Garret Coffey and Andrea Coffey, both of Thawville, Jared Coffey, of Paxton, and Maria Sellek and Janel Sellek, both of Thawville; 20 grandchildren; her mother, of Paxton; her siblings, Gary Cabbage, of Paxton, Doug Cabbage, of Loda, Tami (Cabbage) Kuester, of Paxton, and Cindy Cabbage of Buckley.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rachel Coffey; and her father.
She devoted her life to Jesus and her family. She had a love for animals. Anita put everyone's needs before her own. She was the rock. She enjoyed baking, camping and doing crafts with the grandchildren. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. (Pd.)
