Victor Danca - Kankakee

Victor Danca, 90, of Kankakee, died Sunday (Oct. 18, 1998) at Riverside Medical Center. 
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Charles Wheeler will officiate. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Kankakee. 
Burial with military rites will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. 
Memorials may be made to the family. 
He was born Sept. 7, 1908 in Bayou Currents, La., the son of Rosario and Nickalina Maddie Danca. He attended school through the seventh grade. 
He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Luzon in the Pacific as a metalsmith. He was a member of the Kankakee American Legion Post 85 and Disabled American Veterans, Kankakee Chapter. 
Mr. Danca retired in 1973 after 48 years with Mortell Company in maintenance. 
Surviving are his wife, the former Darlyne A. Miller, whom he married June 28, 1936 at St. Rose of Lima Church, Kankakee; two daughters and one son-in-law, Diana and James E. Beck of Crystal Lake and Cynthia Danca of Kankakee; three grandchildren and spouses, Brian and Grace Beck of Chicago, Kevin and Tracey Beck of Genoa and Erin Beck of Crystal Lake; two great-grandchildren, Maggie and Katie Beck; two brothers, Michael and Samuel Danca, both of Kankakee; two sisters, Mrs. John Sovinski (Angeline) of Kankakee and Mrs. Wayne Hosier (Frances) of Naples, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. 
Deceased are one brother, Charles Danca; and two sisters, Lena Canino and Carmella Eserhut.
