Skyler Lemke, 8, of Emington, died Friday (Dec. 16, 2011) at her residence. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Dwight, with her funeral following at the church. The Rev. Daniel Ognoskie will officiate. Cremation rites will later be accorded. A fund for memorials has been set up at the First National Bank of Dwight in Ian, Skyler and Maggie's names. Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, is in charge of arrangements.
Skyler was born May 6, 2003, in Pontiac, the daughter of Brad Lemke and Sara McMeen. She attended Dwight Grade School until recently and then attended Saunemin Grade School. She enjoyed Barbie dolls, art projects and visiting family and friends. She loved to play games with her father.
Surviving are her father, of Ottawa; her siblings, Brooklyn and Mathias Lemke, at home in Ottawa; her father's fiancee, Wendy Bozek, and her children, Sara and Lexie Bozek; paternal grandmother, Kathy Lemke; maternal grandparents, Louis and Cynthia McMeen; aunts and uncles, Jasmine Lemke; Lucinda (Rick) Steinke; William (Sherrie) Rhodes; Jane (Jesse) Colvin; Travis (Brandi) McMeen; Brad McMeen; and Daniel, Joseph and Steven McMeen.
Her great-grandparents, Lloyd and Evelyn McMeen and William and Lola Holt, preceded her in death.
