Catherine Tuttle - Bradley
Catherine Tuttle, 91, of Bradley, passed away Saturday (Dec. 10, 2011) at home surrounded by her loved ones. A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes, Kankakee Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tuttle worked at Montgomery Ward as a credit manager, retiring in 1981. She was born March 30, 1920, in Buckley, the daughter of Joseph and Florence Craner Gleason. Her husband, Lawrence Tuttle, whom she married Feb. 19, 1945, preceded her in death. She was a 1938 graduate of Gallagher Business School. She was very devout in her faith and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church since 1940. She enjoyed doing crafts and going to dog shows very much.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judy and Tom Hess, of Kankakee, Patricia and Roy Williamson, of Frankfort, and Virginia Lemner, of Bradley; one son, Daniel Tuttle, of Bradley; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Stam-Calvert, of Bradley.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Gregory Hess; one granddaughter-in-law, Mindy Williamson; two brothers, Francis Gleason and Jerry Gleason; and two sisters, Reva Swanstrom Ronna and Florence Loretta Golowski.
