Lionel James "Jim" Regnier - Bourbonnais
Lionel James "Jim" Regnier, 72, of Bourbonnais, died Monday (Nov. 14, 2011) at his home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. wake service, at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.
Inurnment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to the family wishes or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Mr. Regnier was retired from J.R. Short Milling. He was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Bourbonnais, the son of Lionel Augusta and Maria McCoy Regnier. He loved his grandchildren and watching their sporting events. He loved to cook and watch the Food Network, and he loved football and was a Green Bay Packers fan.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sharon Miller, of Bourbonnais, whom he married July 9, 1966, in Momence; one son, Randall Regnier and special friend, Julie Barber, of Bourbonnais; three daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Steve McCarty, and Susan and Scott Hollywood, all of Bradley, and Debra and Gary Metschuleit, of Bourbonnais; six grandchildren, Matthew, Abbey and Austin McCarty, Zachary Hollywood, and Erik and Morgan Metschuleit; and one brother and sister-in-law, Gerald "Willy" and Sandy Regnier, of Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Don Regnier.
