Ivan L. Brownfield Jr., 65, of Kankakee, and formerly of Momence, died Tuesday (Nov. 8, 2011) at River Valley Supportive Living Residence. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Friday until the 3 p.m. funeral service at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, west Kankakee.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials can be made to the family wishes.
Mr. Brownfield worked at Momence Pallet Corp., from which had retired. He was born Feb. 12, 1946, in Chicago Heights, the son of Ivan L. Sr. and Esther (Campbell) Brownfield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ivan III and LaShonda Brownfield, of Alabama; one daughter, Belinda Allen, of West Frankfort; two grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joyce and Al Weissbohn, of Louisiana, Esther and Ron Niles, of Momence, and Lithian Cox, of Indiana; one brother and one sister-in-law, John and Linda Brownfield, of Momence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Robin Lynn Brownfield; and one half brother, Edward Campbell.
