Bonnie J. Marcotte - Louisville KY
Bonnie J. Marcotte, 78, of Louisville, Ky., and formerly of Bourbonnais, died Monday (Nov. 7, 2011), at her daughter's home in Louisville, while watching "The Golden Girls," which always made her laugh. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery & Mausoleum in Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
Mrs. Marcotte was a homemaker. She was born Dec. 22, 1932, in St. George, the daughter of Eugene and Ella (Blanchette) Raymond. On April 26, 1952, she married the love of her life, Louis H. Marcotte; he was abruptly taken from her June 1, 2006. Mrs. Marcotte was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, godmother and friend. She loved to travel around the country with her husband and friends in their motorhome. She spent the winter months in Pompano Beach, Fla. She enjoyed the Red Hat Society girls and spending time with dear friends and family.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Marcotte-Ramsey, and three grandsons, Austin, Cory and Brennen Ramsey, all of Louisville, Ky.; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Donna Raymond, of St. George, Dr. Leo O'Connor, of Kankakee, Pauline and Larry Ryan, of Bradley, and Marie Rudolf, of Kankakee; many wonderful nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Marcotte was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Verna (Raymond) O'Connor; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Leonard "Bid" and Margret Bissonette and James Raymond; and one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Theresa (Marcotte) and Richard "Dick" Chaney and Emil Rudolf.
